all redevelopment plans open the door to eminent domain, whether they say so or not, all redevelopment plans scrap existing zoning and can be created with no restrictions, all redevelopment plans can be changed (amended) at any time and of course all redevelopment plans also open the door to tax abatements.
those that retain their homes will need to go through the planning board to get approvals to renovate. same story, just another neighborhood having to fight their own city and government's abuse of redevelopment powers. enough already?

Apparently they have been given letters. Saw this on Facebook from Councilman Fulop http://stevenfulop.com/news/jersey-ci ... y-declares-eminent-domain "Not the way to go" is in my opinion a an understatement. It is wrong - on so many levels. Peruvian Author Henry De Soto discusses the detrimental effects of lack of legal property rights in many developing countries that are capatalist.

So, coming from the Hudson Reporter, eminent domains "notices" are being sent to home owners in the McGinley Sq area. If you have not seen the article here it is:
http://hudsonreporter.com/view/full_s ... te_lead_story_left_column So has anyone who lives in the area gotten the notice? I'm hoping this is the start of the plans that are going forth for the area to improve. Granted, eminent domain is not the way to go in my opinion and is a cruel way to get people out of the area, but nonetheless that area can possibly become a great location and finally change. Edit: "Home Owners"
