Thanks. I thought of Staten Island because that's in the mid point between Great Neck, Long Island where my girlfriend works and Somerset, NJ where I work.

I do go to Manhattan often to play music (I'm an amateur musician), and if I move to Staten Island, it won't be as easy to get to the city as it is now, I do realize. But there must be something positive about life in Staten Island, and that's what I'm kind of looking for.

In the NYC area the only island I would live on is Manhattan - welcome to the mainland!

JC is great if you have work/ family in NJ or Manhattan.

Brooklyn is great if you have work/ family in Long Island or Manhattan.

Staten Island is only great if you have work/ family on Staten Island.

Is there anyone who used to live in Staten Island? May I ask for your opinion about life in Staten Island vs. Jersey City? Any thoughts that you can share would be greatly appreciated.
