A sow's ear trying to be a silk purse. Police there on a fairly regular basis - noise, fights, drugs, a stabbing - all in the last year. Was there twice. A dump.

The old spot was super divey. Went once just to check it out. Kinda sucked. Curious to check out the new version

oh wow. I always thought JC would be a good spot for Bar Rescue, but I noticed they always avoided NYC/NJ, presumably due to issues with film permits.

I loved that show for a while but the previous season was so obviously scripted and over the top that I just got annoyed with it.

Laguna Lounge was a dive Salsa & Meringue spot, and the crowd was mostly (very lively) old timers LOL. Perhaps they have been rescued. Good Luck to them.

Once, during a particularly unruly part of my life. Let's just say that the patrons were a lively bunch of fellows. And let's leave it at that.

I was on Summit Ave and Charles St last week and was walking past what used to be called Laguna Lounge. To my surprise there was a film crew there shooting an episode of "Bar Rescue." I am a fan of the show and recognized the host John Taffer. The place is completely redone on the outside and has been renamed Tres Cuartos and is labeled a "Puerto Rican Rum Bar."

I live a block away and never went to the last version of this bar so have no idea how bad it was but I am interested to watch the episode and maybe venture in at some point.

Anyone ever been to this spot?
