Are you signing a month to month lease? I would imagine that as a renter that you would be entitled to some protections. The new landlord/bank would have to give you sufficient notice or you could take the landlord to housing court.

does anyone have any experience with renting a unit in which the lease states the unit is in foreclosure proceedings. i know the lease could end early of the bank forecloses on the unit but as a tenant - does anyone know the law allows you to stay once the bank forecloses. can the bank as the new owner just give you 30 days notice to vacate. - there is no security deposit involved so i am not worried about that part - just legally how soon after foreclosure the person would need to vacate the premises.
thanks
