Well Jersey City is reported at .047. Isn't that near to the recommended level?

Good to know! But keep in mind that Jersey City is only .047 ppb -- and even the newest health limit proposed by the California Office of Health Hazard Assessment is very close to that at 0.020 parts per billion (ppb) -- right now the limit in California is 10.000 ppb. CA is the only state to regulate the chemical so far -- and JC is far below much of this list in NJ.
