My interview with former NJ Governor, James McGreevey, airs one week from tonight. Here is a clip of our conversation where he talks about the program he helped create that assists female ex offenders in re-entering into life outside of prison.

Perhaps it best to start with Golan's story first.

His title should be 'disgraced former Governor'.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tim Billiter and I am a Jersey City based Life/Life Purpose Coach, who specializes in personal growth.

For the about the last year I have been involved in an online radio network, The Life Coach Radio Networks, that was founded by and run by another Life Coach who is also based in Jersey City.

The name of my business, as well as the name of my monthly radio show, is DIY for Your Soul. I chose the name because I view personal growth as the ultimate DIY project. Each of one us, in the end, is the only person who is responsible for defining who we are and working towards living the life we desire.

As for the Soul, my practice is not based on any specific religious beliefs, spiritual practices or dogma. My goal is not to persuade you in one way or another when it comes to your spiritual beliefs ? whether you have them or not.

When I refer to the Soul, I am referring to the life that runs through you. I?m talking about energy; the energy that we call life.

I?ve chosen to post on this forum because the next broadcast of my show is an interview with former New Jersey Governor, James McGreevey. I recently had the chance to speak with him on the topic of Second Chances ? Recovering From and Learning to Thrive after Seemingly Ruinous Situations.

I am a long time member of JCList, (I have chosen to register under a new name as I would like to keep my business separate from my personal views) thus I am very aware that there are very strong feelings about Governor McGreevey on both both ends of the spectrum.

I wanted to talk with him specifically, though, because he went through such a public scandal, he found a way to come through it and move on, and he is now using his experiences to assist women who are addicts, and ex convicts who are coming out of the penal system and trying to make it in mainstream society.

So like him or hate him, he certainly knows something on the topic of Second Chances. And that?s the point. I wanted his take on how one navigates difficult circumstances that each and every one of us has found ourselves in at some point.

Nothing was off limits. We talked about his past, his sexuality, his book and, of course, the work he does assisting former inmates on returning to society.

In the following clip, you will hear him talk about his fascinating take on the coming out process. I was struck how it applies to everyone, gay and straight alike.

You can listen to the clip here.

The show will air in its entirety on Tuesday, July 22nd at 8 PM ET and you can listen then by clicking here. For more information about me and my coaching practice, you can visit my website at www.diyforyoursoul.com.
