I witnessed an adorable black cat with flea collar drinking out of a puddle. She was friendly and obviously hot. I tried to have her drink from my ice in my water bottle and dampened her hair with my water (which made her scoot off for a minute, no question) in the hopes that may cool her down. She went back under a car for shade but I worried she'll overheat and was beside myself as to how to help.

I would think cat owners would avoid having their cats out on such hot days.
