For the last couple of days, tiny bits of white foam (granules around the same size as rock salt) have been blowing all over the Van Vorst Park neighborhood, apparently from the construction site at Jersey Avenue & Grand Street. There are now men with large industrial vacuums walking along York Street, trying to vacuum it up, but it's everywhere -- on stoops, between the cracks in the sidewalk, along curbs, in gardens, all over the grass & soil in Van Vorst Park. There's no way these guys are going to get it all.
I'm don't have any background in science, but I have to think this is an environmental hazard. Does anyone have more information, or have an idea of what can be done about this? Thanks in advance for any insight or info.
