Well, that's as good as it get in person around here, and we're lucky to have them, model hobbies apparently don't compete well with x-box & internet porn. They actually distribute their own line of parts and kits, Megatech, which has some pretty good values. For the best online selection around try Towerhobbies.com.

Hey brewster, how big is ur kitchen that you can have this huge racetrack in there!
There\'s a RC store on Tonulee ave by about 78th street I think. Its across from Chuck E Cheeses. Its called something hobby center I believe. They do sell gas cars there. Hope that helps.
They also used to have races on the roof track from what I heard.

The track was an oval out of sump hose about 10.5 x 8 and the cars are 8". It took some practice for the kids to run it in the simple cars, but some of them got quite good.

There is or was an RC car shop on St Pauls, like near Central, they had a very visible billboard on 139. If they're still there they'd have all the answers.

FWIW, I just did a rc car racing party for my son's 12th by buying all the kids inexpensive but beautifully detailed Maisto 1:24 cars and racing them around a track I built in the kitchen. They loved it.

On St.Pauls between Perry st and Summit ave.

I used to race RC cars a few years ago and was thinking about getting back into it. Anyone else in JC race RC Cars? What hobby shops to go to? Are there any tracks locally that have organized races?

Nitro or electric is fine I used to drive both....

Thanks
