I heard they don't have air-conditioning, so they avoid showing movies during the summer months.
I also missed my chance to see "Forbidden Planet" there a few years ago.
Will definitely check them out next SciFi showings.

It's a shame what a lot of these theaters have become. The Jersey Loews is pretty good, but the Fox Theater in Atlanta is a shining example of what these theaters should be. It's in amazing condition.

What a gorgeous building. I am surprised no one has tried to bring it back to life especially because of all the artistic, creative and can do types that make up Brooklyn.

I have been meaning to watch a movie inside the Jersey Loews for a while. I keep checking their website to see if they will have anything in August but nothing so far.

Kicking myself for missing the movie "Mothra" that they played in July. Am a big Godzilla(and Company) nerd.

Here are pictures of the Loews Shore Theater in Coney Island. The theater was built in 1925 and needs serious attention.
