That's cute, one of the cops let his son wear the uniform to the ceremony.

What % of these 13 cops will end up doing something illegal and bring shame to the city and department - I'm betting within 5 years siht will stick to one or more of these 13 guys.

Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy and Police Department officials will swear in 13 new Jersey City police officers during an event at City Hall tomorrow.
The officers are new to Jersey City, but aren't new to law enforcement. The group is comprised of officers from Hudson and Middlesex County's Sheriff's departments and the Paterson Police Department. The event, scheduled for 3 p.m. in Council Chambers, enables Jersey City to beef up its ranks that have been reduced to attrition without adding any additional expenditure to the police budget, officials said. "This class of officers presents us with a tremendous opportunity to immediately put 13 new cops on the street and avoid waiting the six to eight months if they were rookies going to their first police academy," Healy said. "And, our city benefits from the experience these officers already have under their belts at a tremendous savings to the taxpayers," Healy added. Read More Here.
