View Larger Map POLICE BEAT Monday, April 04, 2011 4 beat man, 31, with baseball bat A Jersey City man was beaten around the face, legs and body early Saturday morning, police reports said. Police were called to New York Avenue and Griffith Street at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, reports said. When they arrived, they spoke to the 31-year-old victim who had swelling around the face and hands, reports said. The victim said he was walking north on Palisade Avenue from Franklin Avenue when four men started hitting him on the right leg, upper body and face with a baseball bat, reports said. The victim, who was treated at Jersey City Medical Center for his injuries, said his attackers left in a black Acura, reports said. CHARLES HACK
