This would be truly alarming if crime wasn't at a 30 year low....
Thanks for nothing Jerry.

It's not the fault of the city employees this guy took it upon himself to shoot the gun. We can't prevent things from happening, or know before hand. Plus look at the neighborhood where it occured, maybe it was drug related ot the victim owed money. Most of the criminals rent so lets price them out of the city is that want you want ??

Jersey City man shot twice in front of his Greenville home during robbery

By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal
March 18, 2010, 5:50PM

A Jersey City man was shot in the chin and arm during a robbery on the front steps of his Greenville home late last night, officials said.

At 11 p.m. police responded to the Dwight Street home of the 21-year-old victim and found him spitting out blood, reports said. He had trouble speaking but told police he was about to enter his front door when a man ran up behind him yelling, "Give me all ya (expletive) now," reports said.

When the victim felt the robber grabbing at his pockets, he turned to face him and heard the shots ring out, reports said. The robber ran away without getting anything but it was then the victim began feeling sharp pain in his chin and right arm, reports said.

The Dwight Street man was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of the non-life-threatening wounds, reports said.
