Lets send ex-EPA Whitman out there to see if everything is ok.
She is cheap and will not have to do any testing, just woman's intuition

Fire at metal recycling center

Jersey Journal
Tuesday, June 26, 2007

A fire at the Sims Metal recycling center on Linden Avenue East yesterday required two fire boats to get it under control and sent clouds of smoke in the air, but resulted in no injuries.

The fire at 1 Linden Ave. East started around 2:10 p.m. yesterday, prompting Jersey City to call its fire boat, Marine 1, into action, as well as a fire boat from the Newark Fire Department.

The fire took hours to put out, but no injuries were reported, according to Armando Roman, director of the Fire and Emergency Services Department.

The fire almost went to two alarms, Roman said.

The causes and origins of the fire were still being investigated, he said.
