Cops confiscate Glock from suspect
Friday, May 04, 2007 Jersey City police nabbed a gun from a suspect walking with his buddies a little after midnight yesterday, said police. Gilbert Cruz Jr., 18, of Jersey City, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and drug charges when police found a .40 Glock handgun while frisking him, police said. Cruz was walking north on West Side Avenue near Communipaw Avenue with two other males causing a disturbance when police told them to go on their way, police said. When the three males began shouting obscenities at the police, an officer got out of his car and approached the men. Police saw Cruz discard marijuana and he was placed under arrest, said police.
