Coming home late one night, the light rail stopped at LSP but didn't open its door, so my group and I ended up getting off at Garfield and tracking back (it was about the same time as this incident) and I have to say that it was a mildly intimidating walk. The area is VERY sketchy at night, and very desolate. Not at all surprised to hear about this assault. I am only surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Acutally no, in high school they'd ask what size you wear b4 trying to jack your sneakers.

The woman told police she got off the train at the Garfield Avenue Station and was walking south on Randolph Avenue around 1:25 a.m. when three males pounced on her and one of them punched her on the right side of her face, police reports state.
