I would still be interested in knowing why there was a cover-up of who Darren Talington really was?

Both happened near A1-Deli (my bet is the tourists were followed from the deli). Both early hours Sat morning. Both involved guns. It doesn't take a genius to figure the pattern. Where were the JCPD? Do they patrol Grove street late night? Given Grove and Journal Square are the only 2 late night/early morning transport hubs in JC, where else would they be?

Of 12 homicides in Jersey City during the first six months of this year, five remain unsolved
By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal July 05, 2014 at 10:30 AM, updated July 05, 2014 at 12:48 PM Of the 12 murders committed in Jersey City in the first six months of 2014, five remain unsolved, leaving loved ones yearning for justice and county homicide detectives hard at work to find suspects. ?The homicide unit is actively working on all of these open cases and we ask anyone with any information whatsoever to contact our office,? Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino said. A year ago, there were seven homicides in Hudson County by July 1 and a total of 20 by year's end. The murder calendar in 2013 was marked by a particularly bloody July, during which seven people were killed. Of the 12 murders in Hudson committed in the first six months of this year -- the 13th was committed Thursday, July 3, and little information is available -- the last was on June 22 when 23-year-old Marcus Brown, of Jersey City, was gunned down on Grant Avenue only 11 days after being released from prison. On June 24, Tyrell Thrower, 29, of Myrtle Avenue, was charged with Brown?s murder, officials said. On June 17 Jersey City police responding to the Old Bergen Road home of Marilyn Albizu, 33, after a domestic violence incident found her strangled. Nathan Williams, 36, the father of Albizu's child, led police in a chase later that day in Newark where he bailed out of his vehicle, jumped off an elevated highway, broke his legs in the 30 to 40 foot fall and was hospitalized in critical condition. He initially faced a number of charges but not her murder until just days ago when the murder charge was lodged. On June 6, Jamal Cooks, 22, and Shawn Spencer, 21, were fatally shot while in a vehicle on Van Nostrand Avenue. No arrest has yet been made. On May 23, Michael Galdieri, 52, was found stabbed to death in his Mallory Avenue apartment after firefighters put out a fire there. No arrest has been made. On April 26, Darren Talington, 25, was in A Plus Deli on Grove Street where he scuffled with a man who hit a woman with a bottle. The fight spilled onto the sidewalk where he was fatally shot by a second man. No arrest has been made. On April 5, Kenneth Chisolm, 48, was found fatally shot in the hallway of an apartment building on Seidler Street. No arrest has been made. On May 2 Darius Dashawn Redmon, 21, who was shot in the head outside the Booker T. Washington housing complex. Daquan Mixson, 24, has been charged with Redmon's murder. On April 22, Jesus Ruiz, 73, of Sherman Avenue, was stabbed to death in his Sherman Avenue home. His grandson, John Ugarriza, 27, has been charged with Ruiz's murder. On April 6, George T. Smith, 63, was shot near his Danforth Avenue home while coming to his wife?s aid during a robbery. Joshua E. Higgins, 19, has been charged with the felony murder of Smith and the investigation is ongoing. Kareem Porter, 21, was fatally shot on Kennedy Boulevard on Jan. 26. Dashawn Haynes, 21, has been charged Porter's murder. On Jan. 1, Rodger W. Pickett, 41, who was shot at a bar on Monticello Avenue. James D. Corley Jr., 63, a retired Jersey City police officer, has been charged with Pickett's murder. Karen Lewin, 2, died on May 27 as a result of blunt force injury to her abdomen and a lacerated liver. Her mother?s boyfriend, Raynaldo Rodriguez, 25, of Bayonne, is charged with endangering the welfare of the toddler for allegedly striking her and causing bruising to her on the day she died. Lewin?s mother, Jennifer Cruz, is charged with endangering the welfare of Lewin, as well as her 1-year-old son in a separate May 14 incident, during which she allegedly struck the girl, "causing bruising to her forehead, left cheek, chest and left arm," and bit the boy "on the left shoulder, breaking the skin," authorities said. Lewin?s death has been ruled a homicide, but no one has been charged with killing her. Also, no one has been charged in connection to a hit and run that claimed the life of Ayako Okabe, 30, of Japan. Okabe was visiting the United States and was riding her bike home from work when she was struck by a vehicle on Routes 1&9 north of Duncan Avenue. The incident is still under investigation but has not been ruled a homicide. Anyone with information on any of the cases is asked to call the Hudson County Prosecutor?s Office?s Homicide Squad at 201-915-1345.
