Jersey-City man shot in arm refuses to tell police what happened

Monday, March 01, 2010

A 19-year-old Garfield Avenue man was shot in the left forearm Saturday night and taken to the hospital, Jersey City police said.

But the victim and two friends of his refused to cooperate with cops, police said.

The shooting took place at Pearsall and Garfield avenues at 9:15 p.m., police said.

But officers found the wounded victim with his two friends nearby on Lembeck Avenue, reports said.

The victim, who was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center, would only tell cops that he had been shot in the arm.

Neither he nor his friends said they saw who did the shooting.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the Jersey City police tipline at (201) 547-JAIL.
