Sounds like a C.O. lost/left his gun some where and decided to report it stolen. What thief steals one gun but leaves the other two because they are locked? Since when do locks stop a thief?

Loaded handgun stolen in home of corrections officer
Monday, October 26, 2009 A loaded handgun and three watches worth thousands of dollars were stolen Friday from the Jersey City home of a Hudson County corrections officer, police reports said. The corrections officer told cops someone broke into his Stegman Street home between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and stole his loaded Glock 27 from a top shelf in his closet, along with three watches valued at $5,600, police said. Two other guns owned by the corrections officer - a Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum and Colts Combat Commander .45 - were left on his bed. Unlike the Glock 27, which was ready to be fired, these guns were locked, reports said. County officials didn't return phone calls yesterday to comment on whether the 44-year-old corrections officer had taken the proper precautions to secure his weapons. CHARLES HACK
