Cops: Man shot, wounded

A Jersey City man suffered four bullet wounds Friday night at Grant and Rose avenues, Jersey City police reports said.

Called to the scene at 7:55 p.m., police found the 19-year-old Virginia Avenue resident being treated by EMS for a gunshot wound to his left kneecap, reports said.

But at the Jersey City Medical Center, doctors found three additional gunshot wounds - one in his upper left thigh, another in a knee, and another bullet hole in his left buttock, reports said.

Doctors could not determine if they were entry or exit wounds, police said.

The victim told the police he saw a red four-door Buick, with three occupants, when one of them began firing at him.
