Lesson learned: when he bails her out and they make up and make more babies....least he will never ask for the pacifier ever again.

Sad so sad.

It was nice to see that the child rated a mention while one parent is in hospital and the other in prison.

A Jersey City man is in critical condition after being stabbed twice by the mother of his child - who became enraged when he asked her a second time for the baby's pacifier, officials said.

Ruth Pena, 26, of Palisade Avenue at North Street, was arrested at about 7:12 p.m. on Monday and charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, reports said.

Police responding to the residence found Pena in the stairwell and she told them she had a fight with her boyfriend, reports said. Inside the apartment they found the 33-year-old victim bleeding from stab wounds to his abdomen, reports said.

The victim told police he asked Pena for the baby's pacifier and she said she would give it to him when she was ready.

When he asked her again she began punching him in the right eye, causing it to bruise and swell, reports said. He managed to get away from her, but she went into the kitchen, got a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen, reports said.

The boyfriend was rushed to emergency surgery at the Jersey Medical Center, reports said, adding that he was listed in critical, but stable condition. Pena was arrested and police recovered the knife, reports said.
