Being of Polish decent and a life long Jersey City Resident. I feel the Katyn Memorial should be moved. As an American first and foremost,I feel we should honor Americans and their accomplishments. I feel we should not be changing names of streets and erecting statues of people who never resided in this country. Only exception would be if they helped this country in some significant way.

If the Kushner's were not related to the Trump's this would be a non-issue. Because all developers take advantage of the same loop holes. This is just not a Kushner issue of developers using laws to there advantage it is all developers using laws to there advantage.

Who cares what he owns in Jersey City. People should be more concerned about what they own, instead of worrying about what others own. Get a life. Snowflakes.

Sorry, for the mistake but when Lou Reed mentions Donald in the song there's only two Donald's that come to mind, one is Donald Duck and the second is Donald Trump. So, I assumed he was referring to Donald Trump. Anyway, it is a dark song about society in the late 80's. Which brings me to ask a question do you think society in general has gotten better or worse since Lou Reed has written that song. I mean he writes about pollution in the Hudson which today, the pollution in the Hudson has been lessened dramaticly. He also refers to racism to fellow mankind. Which I don't if it has gotten better or worse. Either way, a very poignant song from the 80's.

Lou Reed "Last Great American Whale" a very dark song written about a whale that came up the Hudson River in 1989. The song even mentions Donald Trump in it and the cesspool of society. Kind of eerie considering recently another whale came into the Hudson River and now Trump is president.

The Heights is on the rise, with the cost of downtown out of reach for some. The Heights is an alternative. In 5 years you won't recognize it. You can see already coffee shops popping up. Boutique gyms opening up. Won't be long until quality restaurants start opening.

I think, having an artist of Shepard Fairey caliber come to Jersey City and paint his murals only add to the spotlight of the smaller local artist. It benefits all.

These Shepard Fairey Murals are amazing. They are so eye opening as you pass them. To have a world known artist such as Shepard Fairey paint these murals in Jersey City add so much credibility to the Jersey City Art scene. http://obeygiant.com/images/2015/10/S ... at-5.43.01-PM-500x450.png

@ MikeyTBC, LOL, just stated my opinion. If you prefer eating your food with cats lying on the counter tops. Dirty windows, Beat-up floors, and dingy looking kitchen. Then enjoy! Not for me.

@ User 1111, If you run into the owner of Wonder Bagel again. Please, ask him when is he going to remodel the Downtown Location on Jersey Ave. That place is down right disgusting looking. I stopped going there awhile ago.

If it's mostly metal then put it at the curb. The scrap metal guy's who drive around the city with pick-up trucks looking for scrap metal. The scrappers must have radar or something because they will find it with in a couple of hours.

That whole area in the Heights near the Congress Street Light Rail Station has changed dramatically in the last few years. It has made major improvements in that section of the City. More and More Business Professionals are buying everything that's available. Coffee Shops are opening up, Personal Training Gyms are opening and Art Galleries are opening.
Riverview Park has festivities every weekend in the nice weather months. The whole section is having a renaissance.

Right now Bayonne is a lot nicer than the Heights. There are a few bad spots in Bayonne such as around Avenue C in the low 20's and high teen's area. But if you are looking long term I think the Heights is a better bet. If you work in Manhattan the commute from Bayonne is horrible. It will take you over an hour when your only 5 miles away. The Heights has major potential, Downtown JC and Hoboken's high prices has forced people to look elsewhere and many business people are checking out the Heights, easy commute into Manhattan either from JSQ or Light Rail on Congress St. or commuter vans from Palisade Ave. or from the Blvd. I think in the next 5 years you will see a major upswing in the Heights that will surpass Bayonne.

Even if the apartment is cheap, not a good idea to be walking around that neighborhood at 8:00 P.M. nevermind 11:00 P.M. Police officer was shot and killed there about 3 blocks away last year. Tough neighborhood. Like someone wrote in an earlier responce stay closer to the Square or the Blvd.

Seacaucus, is also a place to consider. Best school's in Hudson County Great transpotation to N.Y.C. great access to major highways. Suburban feel type of town. Low crime rate. Low taxes.

The Park Police are strict on alcohol in LSP, and so they should be. I think you were lucky getting a 75 dollar ticket. I would just pay it and forget about it. Not knowing about the rules of no alcohol in the park is not a good enough excuse.

Why is it the Jersey City Fire Dept. respond to Ellis Island. The electric to the Statue of Liberty is hooked up from Jersey City. And these two landmarks are called N.Y.C Landmarks.

Nike makes this inexpensive item that you wear on your wrist and put a chip in your Nike running shoe that measures distance, calories burned and time of run. The cost is only about 40 bucks. Well worth it and very accurate. I use it often.
