This bike was on my street sat morning around 11:30am
I walked out of my door and my neighbor was talking to the police. Glad he wasn't reporting a break in.

Re: Parking Permits and Rules

1.) If your car is leased can you get a permit?

As long as it is registered to you

2.) Will a change of address sticker suffice on your driver license?

it worked when i did it. but i remember going to JCPA a few times because my lease wasn't valid enough. You might want to call them.

3.) Can a visitor park after 5p.m. until 8 a.m.? And what about weekends?

yep most streets - parking rules are 8-6 M-F just check the signs in your area. i always take it to mean 4pm -10am since visitors have two hours they can park.

BRING A CHECK TO JCPA they don't take cash. but I did accept cash from the poor stressed out customer in front of me and wrote a check for her. :)

the number the other poster left is for the jcpa

Re: Residential Alarm Systems for all units in a building

There are just three apartments in our building (four tenants) and we were looking into getting one alarm system at the front door.

Our landlord actually agreed to splitting the cost with us tenants... but ran into a snag.

she wrote -
The only problem which I haven?t been able to resolve is how to know who to call if the alarm goes off. If one of you accidently sets it off, the alarm company will only call one number. If they call tenant 1, she won?t know if it?s a true alarm if it?s been set off by the tenant 2 or tenant3/tenant4. Unfortunately, the police department will come and write a summons if it?s a false alarm. I believe they allow you two without issuing the summons, but after that it?s a problem. If any of you have any suggestions on how we can alleviate this problem, please let me know.

Is there a security system that works for multi-family homes? I haven't called companies yet. Should we all just get our own systems? Maybe they'll cut us a break since it's three in the same building.

I'm 31 years old and I've never served jury duty. I've always been called shortly after I moved out of the county. I would have no idea what to expect.

Why Can't New York City Be More Like Jersey City?

From Gothamist

Resized Image

The things you see when you leave the New York City limits! This photo was taken on Grove Street in Jersey City last weekend en route to the PATH station after All Points West. Hung on a fence surrounding a vacant lot, the banner speaks volumes about the Garden State's famed anarcho-syndicalism, which has succeeding in directly carrying out the collective will through cutting-edge technology like text messaging. If only New York City developers would let Blackberry-toting urbanites decide their plans, maybe there'd be fewer "fabulous lofts" and more bars with Jalape?o poppers and backyard beer pong!... On second thought, let's go with the giant nail salon.

---

personally i always thought this ad was kinda cheesy and if i texted them i'd get text spam. i prefer it to stay a parking lot so we can have a nice view from our window.

I really like my doctor. She's young (and very pretty, almost a girl that I might have hated in high school, but not cuz she's soooo nice). She only in the office a few days a week, but is in a good group and she's got an excellent bedside manner and always takes her time with me.

Dr. Fabrikant in the Portside Medical Group on Warren & Dudley - (Paulus Hook)

She's there I think Tues, Wed, Thurs & alt saturdays.

I have horizon bluecross/blue sheild - njplus.

Re: Post your Pimp Sightings Here

I saw him at grove path the other day, waiting for an uptown train. I see him often enough that I don't remember what he was wearing that day, but I noticed a guy playing with his cell phone and it seemed to me he was sneakily trying to take a pic. I think the pimp noticed that too cause he moved over to the downtown side on the other side of the stairs, but looking at the uptown side.

does he get annoyed with his photo taken?

My first sighting since i moved here earlier this month! 10am this morning - He was walking across the shoprite/BBB parking lot. He was wearing all light green (somewhat neon). He had short sleeves and his white walking stick.

I tried to catch a picture on my phone, but he was walking too fast and was too far away once I had it out!
