Great to hear about all the changes, but I would love to know if that madical building is getting fined. Garbage is one thing, but bloody stuff and needles? It had been swept into a pile, but then just left on the sidewalk. ewww.

Can't wait for Colombus to get cleaned up! It will make the city look so much nicer! And please more bars and a music venue would be cool. How can we get places to stay open later?

Well, all of Columbus Ave. is gross, but that medical building is the worst. I walked by yesterday morning and there was a PILE of bloody gauze, wet wee wee pads, and used syringes! Ewww. Like finding a band aid in the pool but way worst.

That whole street is sooo dirty. The mural, the bums with their furniture and toilet, the mural, the unfinished and abandoned construction with blocked off and flooded sidewalk, and a whole lot of garbage. And now that video turned "antique store". It just looks horrible.

I really gave this place a chance but they have been letting me down. The champane mussles were amazing though.

Anyway brunch was a total let down. the coffe was water with grides, those little muffiins were right out the freezer! Barely defrosted! Why pay so much for such crappy food. Pancake Factory is sooo much better. An extra 1$ for blueberries? There were like two in the pancakes! French toast was super good, but with such a nice place they really need to up the quality of the food.

The main problem is the stuff that goes on on Wayne St. would NEVER fly on other blocks and that is what pisses me off. The reality is that cops ignore what happens on that block because it keeps the trouble makers in one area, instead of having them spread all over the nicer blocks.
I just want the police and the city to treat out little area with the same repect they would treat VVP area, or that whole area near the marina.
There is no reason why Wayne St. and section 8 housing should not have to abide by the same rules as everyone else.
At the end of the day that little park is the root of the problem.

How is that bieng "wussy"? Sorry I don't want to get beat up, sure I'll 'respect' when I walk by. But I wish the block was nicer too.
Duh, Not everyone that lives in those Section 8s is a crack head. But lets be honest, there is a lot drug dealing, bottle smashing, chicken bone throwing, and general disrespect that goes in that park. Why should that be allowed? I heard a little kid call an old lady "white cracker bitch"! How is that OK?

I live on Barrow and Wayne and the cops don't want anything to do with this mess. That park is a disaster and I have called many time to get something done about it but I don't know what else to do.
Meth or coke is being sold from that bodega, I HAVE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES! I also see people out of their mindes waiting for it to open around 6am.
Constant drinking, smashed bottles and SKETCHY people are out their at all hours.

Please!! What can we do about this? I saw bulldoze that shithole now!

I think its great, I can't wait. It will look very nice and hopefully make the neighborhood look less ghetto.
And for those of you that think a city has to by gritty in order to be a "real" city, I think thats BS.

OMG I ate here yesterday and it was really good. It is not fancy, nor does it delivery, but its quality food with large portions for a great price. Not that generic oily crap other "fancy" places are serving. The menue is huge, but does not offer too many vegetarian options. Great spicy minty fresh tasting food.
I tried to convince them to carry fake meat, but the guy thought I was crazy.
I'm going to eat here again tonight.

Racist comment? I don't know about that, seems strange. There is no table service, they just make the food and you eat it.

I tired this place last night because it seems to get fairly good reviews. It was awful, I would have been better off getting take out Chinese.
I ordered fried red snapper and a side of mixed vegetables. I ordered both SPICY. First off let me say I have been to Thailand and I work for a Thai company. This food was NOT Thai.
The fish was not even fried! It was simply defrosted and covered in a slimy bland sauce and not even a tiny spicy. The veggies were the typical side of steamed veggies covered in the same slimy oily goo. Take out Chinese style. Again NO SPICE.

When I told the waitress this was not Thai food, she said "Not everything on the menu was Thai, but the basil chicken was" What!!! It is a Thai restaurant!

Both the dishes had not even a hint of fried chilies, cilantro, garlic, lemon grass or tamarind. This is crap and I can't believe that just because they have cloth table clothes people eat here. I am so mad!!

Thai food is super crisp clean and refreshing, with a mix of lime, green apples, cilantro and chilies. Do not let them fool you.

I got take out on Friday. Fish Cakes were very good, the spicy shrimp salad was good too, but they used mixed greens. In Thai cooking the salad greens are shreded cabbage and iceburg, not arugula and spinach. Kind of weird. Fish cakes and salad with nice shrimp= $20

Everyone should make sure their dog behaves while in the park. Just like making sure your kids arn't too loud. Try living next to that dump of a park on Wayne St. Basketball at 5am!!! Its crazy, dealers yelling at all hours. The cops don't show up for that I can't believe they'll show up for the barking dogs.
