Been that way for years. Also, unreal that a city with as much investment as JC has seen needs Federal Stimulus money to cover street paving! WHERE HAVE THE $$$ BEEN GOING? WTF IS THE PROBLEM? GET COLUMBUS PAVED!!!

Levin first choice.
Here's the problem.... How many Levin voters who are fed up with Healy would go for Manzo if Levin wasn't running? To what extent does Levin split the vote and drain votes from Manzo, actually working in Healy's favor? Unfortunately, Wednesday morning will be the first day of the next 4 years of Healy & Co. I also have a bad feeling that Fulop will be cleaning out his Council office.... That said, you all must vote! Bottomline: If you don't vote; don't complain!

A few nights ago, you could hear them cruising all around the neighborhood, seemingly with no other purpose then to make some "Check-out-how-cool-we-are" noise.

Or to put it more succinctly, "Crime is down; Healy said so!"
The post above really cuts to the core of the problem.... people are getting shot down every day here. Yes, some are drug-revenge shootings, but others are stray bullets on a little league field and people getting guns shoved in their faces in Paulus Hook. So the question is, can a mayor, any mayor, control crime? The answer I believe is yes. Rudolph Guiliani did just that in a city 1 mile to the east of us that has roughly 32 times the population and that is now one of the safest in the nation. So, what's the difference between NY and JC? While Guiliani admitted the problem and attacked it in a competent way, our mayor and his Chief of Police say there really isn't a problem. That it's all our perception and "how we feel". The bottom line is that the bullets keep flying even while you all clamor for Whole Foods, .... In other words, Mayor Healy and his Chief are pissing on your legs and telling you its raining.
