Letter to the Editor - MAYOR JERRAMIAH HEALY

Fulop?s plan wrong for city.
As I have said publicly, the basic credo of the administration is simple and was borrowed from the honor code of the U.S. Military Academies and is worth repeating here: ?Don?t Lie, Don?t Cheat, and Don?t Steal.?

MAYOR JERRAMIAH HEALY
JERSEY CITY

Today we are going to learn about the word Don't.
It's a very powerful word.It also has no business being in the quote above. If you remove it you will have the true essence of the healy administration.Lie,Cheat and Steal.

Makes you crazy,don't it.
If they ever open Greene street up past the Power plant then Greene is to become one way going toward newport and washington will be one way toward paulus hook.
Right now its just a complete circle jerk.

Their still waiting for the light rail signals on greene street by the powerplant. It is amazing what you can learn when you eat at the same roach coaches as the contractors.

Since greene swings back toward washington,at that point washington will be two way again.

i posted this on the other thread regarding the pay to play ordinance so i'll do it here too.

Todays JJ has a letter to the editor from Mayor Healy disagreeing with Fulops ban on Pay to Play.
Can someone please post this letter? It's not online so you have to get the printed version.I don't know how or i would.

Lastly why can't we keep one thread going on this subject so as not to dilute the importance of of the ordinance.

I just read in todays JJ a letter to the editor Written by Mayor Healy that slams councilman Fulop's Pay to Play ordinance.

Its not online so you have to read the paper. Can someone scan this and post it here,i'm computer challenged or i would do it.

His argument is pretty pathetic and rather silly for a sitting Mayor, why not just call the papers and do an interview.

Watch the flood of calls come from the rest of the couples he succeeded in shaking down. This year started off with Captain Crook from the fire dept.and now we have a cash and carry deputy mayor who will also sell you a new phone plan.
Its like a bad HBO series

There is no other way to kill it.They will vote it down but they can't just stop it from coming up.

I can't wait for the totally absurd reasons each councilmen will give so as not to stop their cash flow.

There will be more stuttering, stammering statements than a soaking wet Ted Kennedy explaining his late night swim.

No, but their could have been a story written without the photo op.Maybe those kids were embarrassed to be singled out as in need of help.Giving a kid a bike for christmas is one thing but the photo op with the checks seemed in poor taste.

Nice to give stuff to the needy but was it necessary to make them pose for a picture in the paper.A truly good deed should be done discreetly.

Can you say "i told you so"
Those monmouth prosecutors don't fool around.

Whats interesting is that they even dismissed the minor charges against the cop which means the only person going up in front of a judge is Jerry Healy. The mayor and all his wittnesses/freinds testified and a Grand Jury did not believe them.

He has two option's, plead to something or get on the stand in open court and get asked a lot of very embarrassing questions. Both are bad for Healy.

They probably were not cops. What they do is drive from wherever and park their trailer in the hoboken lot. Then its a short walk to liberty state park.

There is no law against riding a horse in Jersey City, but you can't park the trailer in the park. Not every horse will ride in traffic either. Those may have been retired NYC horses.

Re: 361 newark ave to triple in height

The electric car lift only shows how small a foot print this job is on.It was a decent building at the hight it was at.Who is going to mantain the lift after all the condos are sold? The garage in Hoboken had constant problems and it was staffed around the clock.

The smaller version had the same amount of retail on the ground floor which will greatly improve the area. The poster before had a real good point about both buildings doing the sidewalks and lighting fixtures that mimic what will be done on the rest of newark ave.

I don't mean to start the whole anti development/pro development thing going again because i do think that these two buildings will help anchor the other end of newark ave.

It is just that something about this deal is not right.Electric car lift my ass, that thing will never get installed and all those cars will be on the street.

They probably came from the stable in Hoboken where they still have police on horseback.Although their only for parades now.

When i was a kid they still had police on horseback in JC.The sound they made late at night on the pavement was very cool.
They say that a cop on horseback has the best visability as he is high up and the horse is very intensely aware of his surroundings.NYC and Newark still have cops on horseback.

I know this is f___up but i like the smell of horsesheet.I wish we still had them here. Not counting the horse's ass running City Hall.

Its on the agenda for thursday night.Usualy Dan L.posts the agenda.

MY Friend lives within a certain distance from the site so he got notified by law.You can call the planning bd and they may or may not be helpful.

The city should post all board meetings on their web site but don't hold your breath waiting.

Jcwalkingman your making my point. This guy has been fooling around with this job for over a year.He just wants to max out the site.

I am not anti development i am anti ugly development. That lot is not as big as you think. Most of the land belongs to the turnpike and a big chunk still belongs to the city which was going to expand the park for the kids.

i'm in total agreement about that area of newark ave being an eyesore. These two new buildings with retail on the bottom will be good anchors there.

What i don't like is a builder who agrees to a certain size building where the community had input, starts the job and then reapplies during the holidays (less people show up)for a much bigger building.

NNJR, comparing what i said to wishing someone gets cancer is ridiculous don't ask to get cancer, its not a choice.Building an over size building under the turnpike is a business decision this guy made.

As far as it maybe being a cool looking building, whats the chance of that in JC.Can you say Grove pionte.ECH

Your right jc but what does the developer care.He sees other builders like goldman get to build higher and higher so why not him.Somebody in city hall told him it was ok or he would not be doing it.

The top of that building will be level with the turnpike and about thirty feet away. That should be a nice unit with the headlights coming through the windows.

I hope he goes belly up or misses the whole market from being greedy.

I know there was a thread on here about the old hamburger joint near the turnpike and newark ave but i could not find it.

People were asking if the builder had went out of business because he stopped work on the job after he had begun pounding piles into the ground.

It turns out that he is going before the board of adjustment Thursday night to get new approval to go twelve stories and have 55 unit's.He was already approved for four stories and 24 units. When does this stop.Who starts something with bank financing in place and then decides to redo the whole job without the fix being in.

Will every square inch of space become a hi rise soon. The kids who play on the ballfield behind that site will be in the dark during the Day.With the 12 story building that was approved across the street, newark ave will look like an alleyway after you pass under the train trestle.

I don't live in that area but as my friend who does Say's"no body seems to give a s___!

Years ago that right wing s---bag Shundler (nice dresser, never naked) sold our water system to balance the budget.

That's right jersey city owned it's own water supply,we even sold to other town's.To create a one time flow of money our then Mayor Brett Shundler sold off our water and screwed us for years to come.

Check out Mia Scanga's web site --stop brett shundler.com she really lays out the whole scam

Now when a developer is maxed out to the mayors elect fund he can give any amount he wants to the so called non profit.
There will be no record of this.

Now the Mayor can take voters to vegas if he wants and know one will know.Throw a party in the Moose Hall, know one will know.

Gets to keep his campaign cash for elections and skirts the law with this bogus non profit.

Gee, guy takes over agency with deficit and a shady history, turns it around so it has a surplus and gets forced out.Sounds about right for J.C.

Any predictions on what relative of a mayoral staffer will get to run this agency back into the ground.

The bad part for downtown is that Dalton had been working on a newark ave parking lot.His replacement will no doubt work on more important matters like selling tickets to fundraisers.

Healy is not going to sue the cop for one simple reason. The deposition he would undergo from a smart lawyer would be devastating.Ever been drunk and naked in public.ever hit your wife, give a pal a no show job ect.
The deposition is what got Bill Clinton.

Healy should hope the cop does not get indicted because he will surely be asked these Questions on the stand in open court. What a circus that will be.

Monmouth county is not like hudson, they will follow the truth no matter where it leads. The coverup may be worse than the crime.
