Most of dtjc was built on marshland. But that church did indeed have structural issues. The building to be domolished though is solid. St. Peter's prep hasnt put a dime into that building since they purchased it many years ago so they can then tell the city to condemn it and tear it down. That building looks like my brownstone in the 70s, which has subsequently been renovated after much blood sweat and tears. St. Peter's prep shouldn't get a pass on their duty to do the same.Quote:

expecting another nasty season of mosquitoes. thought thisbforum would be a good place to exchange ideas on controlling them. I have two issues.

1. slum lord a few houses away put a tarp over theirnbackyard so they dont have to upkeep it. probably causing puddles and mosquitoes. Any remedies through the city?

2. recently came across research on boric acid and sugar as an effective killer of mosquitoes if sprayed on foliage. anyone tried this?
