Their carts for the luggage are really fun to ride on in their super long hallways. Since the building is barely occupied no one ever complains about our tomfoolery. Except when wine glasses fall off the roof deck. That time, a friend who lives there got reprimanded.

That place sucks. Worst food ever and high prices. That spot is perfect for a pub/bar for people to hang at after work.

if you want a revolution, why not a real revolution!

i advocate secession from the rest of the city to form a new city - tribeca west* - with its own cops, city hall, schools, and government.

i do not know how large part of the city budget comes from the downtown and how much of downtown's contribution to the overall city budget is reinvested in this very part of jersey city, but i would strongly argue, based on the vastly disproportionate valuation of real estate across the wards, that after seceding, property taxes would plummet for the inhabitants of the tribeca west*.

further, i would not be surprised if public services - ranging from cops to schools - would also show a marked improvement.

so, if anyone is interested in organizing a grass-roots movement to secede from jersey city and to form tribeca west* from downtown jersey city, let us unite!

Awesome idea. Wish this could be done.

Are you kidding? Your opinion disgusts me.

Decent humans and many families live in Greenville, too.

Too bad the decent families are outnumbered by trash. A friend of mine who was born and raised in JC took me for a tour through that area once when I first moved here. It disgusts me that areas of my town were allowed to disintegrate to this point. It disgusts me that people take no pride in where they live and do absolutely nothing to improve their condition. It disgusts me that this pathetic helplessness is passed down from one generation to the next while there are endless resources available for people to better their lives. What's even more appalling is that this is probably the fastest growing population in Jersey City.

Haagen Dazs is on sale at shop rite this week for $1.99! And those mini containers that you can bring to the park with you are 5/$5. I don't make enough money to care whose business I support. Besides, haagen dazs cares about the bees.

A person who kills anything for enjoyment is, in my opinion, a serial killer. That is what they do, isnt it?

Time to reproduce responsibly and leave the quote "go forth and multiply and fill the earth" behind. It's full to capacity already. The condos are not intended for families of five. Too bad so sad that you can't raise your 3+ kids here anymore. Shouldn't be so narcissistic as to multiply so profusely in the first place. All this talk about making things sustainable and no one ever mentions overpopulation as the cause of the problem.

I would much rather deal with unleashed dogs and their poop then high school students who throw beer bottles up in the air because they are still in pre-operational stage of development and are extremely amused with how gravity works. I really wish they weren't allowed out during lunch...and out of their mothers wombs.

The zoning rules are created to cause confusion and generate money it seems. Why can't downtown be one large zone? Bottom line, we all want to park closest to our homes anyway. As far as the scratch-off decals go, they had no business asking for a license or registration. I was told and the parking authority that ANYONE can purchase those and they don't have to be residents of JC.

As someone else stated before, most people living in front of the turnpike would not consider the cesspool near Holland Tunnel "downtown". The people involved in the shooting on Exchange, are not from downtown either. But please remind me, what did Healy say?

I don't get what the point of the map is? Yes the Heights had a few more murders then Downtown in 2008. The year before that Downtown had two more then the Heights. I don't get your point that doesn't change my stats in any way. The fact remains other then burglaries there is more crime Downtown then the Heights. Which you didn't believe to be true.

As far as the border I believe we had that discussion already in the past so if it helps you sleep better at night, then believe what you want. At the end of the day the city is still going to have its original borders.

Was this the only thing you were able to dig up on any town around Manville? You better keep digging. See if you can find anything on New Providence while you're at it. In the meantime, I hope you'll be at the next meet and greet, if there is ever one again. So we can compare and contrast our gene pools and all!

Thanks for the tip, I think I may do just that! I'd rather live among hicks then gang members and drug dealers. Take Manville for instance, I doubt that they've had 14 murders or any murders yet this year. But hey, most of you would rather get shot then have neighbors that shop at wallmart.

Hey at least I take the improvement of the species seriously, thats why I married a blonde with blue eyes... my being half jewish and all. All jokes aside though, eugenics isn't so bad for eradicating genetic defects and hereditary diseases. This is why blood tests were once required for couples to get a marriage license.

Hey asshole, do you think things in Greenville would be any better if Manzo, Levin or one of the others got elected? Do you know how to move out half of Jersey City's population elsewhere? Because that's the only solution to the problem. Greenville is a freakin zoo, rationality does not apply there. Nothing proactive can be done there short of heavily infusing the drinking water with some lead and hoping that sterilizes most of the population. I bet things would improve even in our "impenetrable" downtown, since most problems migrate to us from other sections of JC or Newark.

"Any animal that lacks the ability to reason that a 2 ton car moving toward them at 35 mph is a threat, deserves die - you would do them a favor - they will eventually learn."

I'll apply that philosophy when I drive down the Christopher Columbus ramp off the turnpike next time. Those imbecile humans refuse to learn, even after they put up guards, for them not to cross the road there.

Do NOT go to A-One on 184 Bay St. The plastic switch for my heater broke. They charged me $195 to "fix" it. The switch now won't go to the cold setting all the way and doesn't turn properly. I went back to tell them about this issue and they offered to order a brand new switch system for another $180. It's a freakin plastic switch! And if they could have ordered a brand new switch system in, why didn't they do it to begin with?!
