Queens man escapes serious injury after crashing car in Jersey City
Sunday, November 13, 2011, 6:26 PM By Charles Hack/The Jersey Journal  A Queens man escaped serious injury today after he crashed the Mercury Sable he was driving at West Side and Gifford avenues. A 22-year-old Queens man escaped serious injury after flipping his car and hitting two parked cars in Jersey City this afternoon, police reports said. Police who were called to the scene at West Side Avenue near Gifford Avenue at around 1:06 p.m. found the 2001 Mercury Sable resting on its roof and driver's side, reports said. The Flushing Queens man told police he was driving south on West Side Avenue and not paying attention when his car struck a 2007 Suzuki wagon and a 1997 Toyota that were parked on the side of the avenue, reports said. According to Police Lt. Edgar Martinez, the man did not suffer any serious injuries and there were no indications on the police report that he was issued
