This might fall under the enforcement of the N.I.D. See http://www.cityofjerseycity.com/public_works.aspx?id=1428

Leave them a note telling them that it will cost less to fix now than paying out on a slip and fall lawsuit.

I just called them & they said they dont have anything to do with that for me just to knock on my neighbors door & tell them to repair it. What BS!

There is also the block on Newark up from Monmouth. The sidewalk is torn to shreds and the plywood wall leaves close to traffic. They are also building a condo building there. I am sure someone on this site will tell me to cross the street but why should I have to. Just waiting for that person.

A barrister, it is the responsibility of the property owner. If someone trips on it and gets hurt then you will know whom the owner is. Call the J.C. Housing Code Authority
