8 years later, Bid Rig arrests remain an issue in Jersey City mayor's race

Updated 1:45 PM; Posted Today 1:10 PM By Terrence T. McDonald The Jersey Journal

JERSEY CITY -- On July 23, 2009, Jersey City watched as more than a dozen people with connections to city government and local politics were rounded up by federal agents in a massive public corruption sting.

On Nov. 2, 2017, Mayor Steve Fulop wants voters to lay some of the blame on his challenger, Bill Matsikoudis, the city's corporation counsel at the time of the arrests.
