Here's who is running in the Jersey City school board race

Nine people have filed to fill four open positions on the Jersey City school board. Three of the four members whose seat are up for grabs are running on the same slate. Outgoing president Joel Torres is not seeking re-election after having won the Democratic primary for a seat on the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Here’s a look at the nine candidates who submitted filings by the July 31 deadline.
