Federal appeals court approves $10M Honeywell settlement

A federal appeals court approved the $10 million settlement by Honeywell International for a group of Jersey City property owners who filed a class action lawsuit claiming their land was contaminated by chromium.

The settlement was initially approved in May 2016, but the amount was appealed on claims that the attorney's fees and other expenses were not properly calculated; and that the extent of contamination to the properties was never determined.
