Nearly 40 films and web series from around the world, including one from executive producer Shaquille O'Neal, will be showcased during the Jersey City International Television & Film Festival. The third annual festival sponsored by New Jersey City University, Jersey City Medical Center, and Mack-Cali Realty Corporation will run Nov. 4-6. The three-day festival will include the screenings of feature films, documentaries, animation, web series, and student films ? some of which were created by students from New Jersey City University and Jersey City high schools. The film festivities will kick off Friday, Nov. 4 with a red carpet opening night reception from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Skyline Room at the NJCU School of Business. The weekend screenings will start at 8 p.m. following the reception with a special showing of Giselle Bellas' music video "My Heart Goes..." as well as a live performance by Belas. Screenings of "Creatures of Jersey City," "TIME SPACE REFLECTIONS," and "Mosquito" -- a local film highlighting the Golden Gloves boxing program in Jersey City -- will also take place. Saturday's films, which will be screened at the both the NJCU School of Business and the Jersey City Museum, will include the festival's feature film "Steps," executive produced by O'Neal and local Jersey City resident/filmmaker Eddie Harris. The movie ? filmed entirely in Jersey City ? will be shown at the Jersey City Museum at 7:45 p.m. and will tell the dramatic story about one man's quest for love and redemption. More
