A former Jersey City special education teacher, whose tenure was revoked by the state in 2013, has now been ordered to forfeit her teaching certificate after she was found unfit to teach students due to a "pattern of confrontational and rude behavior."

Michelle Gibbs, who was one of a few district teachers who lost her job following the state's tenure reforms, was accused by the school district of becoming "confrontational, uncooperative and sarcastic" with other teachers during the 2011-2012 school year.

According to the state Board of Examiners' Sept. 17 ruling, Gibbs allegedly told instructors she prayed "she did not hurt them and the children, made references to the end of the world and said that the district was evil."
