Just over two weeks after a man was shot four times while leaving a grocery store on the West Side of Jersey City, gunfire erupted near the same intersection last night, leading to one arrest, police said.

Jersey City police arrested Tavin Robinson, 20, of Freeman Avenue last night after he fired several rounds on Duncan Avenue between Delaware and Olean avenues, Jersey City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill said.

An officer working on foot patrol heard shots fired in the area of Duncan and Belvidere avenues just after 9 p.m. He then saw a man fleeing the scene, tucking a black handgun into his front waistband as he was running, Morrill said.
