Jarrod Greene needed a platform for the relaunch of his athletic apparel brand, Pass The Roc.

Nine years after his business sputtered, Greene says he has found the perfect opportunity. Greene and Jersey City will co-host a multicultural festival tomorrow.

"With the community being riddled with violence, it's a great time to bring everyone together," Greene said. "Jersey City, even though it's diverse, it's segregated."

His choice locale for the festival is Audubon Park in the Greenville neighborhood, where Greene said his company got its start. The festival is slated to take place tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Audubon Park at the corner of John F. Kennedy Blvd and Stegman Street.

"We did our first event there in 1999," he said. "I thought it be great to go back to my start."

The basketball apparel brand, conceptualized in Jersey City, made its national debut in the spring of 2003. It wasn't long before the brand could be purchased in 400 to 500 stores across the country.
