JERSEY CITY - A two-alarm fire burned through an apartment in a highrise residential building near Jersey City's City Hall this morning. No civilians were injured but a Jersey City firefighter, the son of former mayor Jerramiah Healy, was sent to the hospital with "stress-related injuries," a fire department official said.

When firefighters responded to the blaze at 280 Marin Blvd. at 10:57 a.m., they discovered a fire inside an apartment on the 21st floor of the 22-story building, First Battalion Chief Hector Rivera said.

"We were met with tough conditions," said Rivera, adding firefighters kept the fire from spreading and had it under control by 11:28 a.m.
