Syron B. Stone, of Wilmington, N.C., who fit the description of the suspect the women gave police, was arrested early Saturday. Stone, who was found to be carrying a folding knife with a 5-inch blade, was charged with possessing a weapon for unlawful purposes but has not been charged with committing the attacks, police said, noting the investigation is ongoing.
