its all about the money in this land of milk & honey... and people are wising up. Gays, Blacks, Latinos, Jews, etc have spending power that most bigots overlook.
Guinness was a huge sponsor for the Irish Parade, but you become a bigot you gets no love from them and no sponsorship means no parade period. I think they are still bigots but money talks and banning walks.

NEW YORK (AP) ? Organizers of the world's largest St. Patrick's Day Parade say they're ending a ban and allowing a gay group to march under its own banner for the first time.
The prohibition on identified gay groups in the centuries-old New York parade had made participation a political issue. Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio refused to march this year, and Guinness beer dropped its sponsorship. More
