Animal lovers are invited to Liberty Humane Society?s fourth annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Sunday, March 2nd from 5-7PM at VB3 located at 475 Washington Boulevard in Jersey City. Guests will be invited to sample a selection of red and white wines, antipasti dishes, and gourmet pizzas while toasting to another year of helping the helpless furry friends in our local community.

This fundraiser benefits animals like Ruby, a goofy and oh-so lovable dog that was surrendered by her owner after a failed attempt at impregnating her that ended with an infection they couldn't afford to treat. It was the owner?s intent to have her euthanized rather than treat the infection, but luckily Liberty Humane was there. Ruby was taken into the shelter, is now scheduled to have the surgery she needs, and will be ready to find a new, loving family very soon! The type of care Ruby is receiving at Liberty Humane is only possible because of our community?s involvement in events like this.
