Fulop to deliver his first State of the City address
By Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal February 19, 2014 at 4:40 PM Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop will give the first State of the City address of his administration next week at Saint Peter?s University. Fulop, 36, was elected mayor last May, defeating Jerramiah Healy, who had led the city for nearly a decade. Prior to his mayoral win, Fulop was a two-term member of the City Council, representing the Downtown. The new mayor has quickly made a name for himself statewide, logging numerous media appearances and penning op-eds for newspapers like The Record and websites like The Huffington Post. Political observers believe he has a shot at the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in 2017. The State of the City address is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. at the Mac Mahon Student Center on Glenwood Avenue between Kennedy Boulevard and Bergen Avenue. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... address.html#incart_river
