The families of two people who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the same Jersey City apartment three weeks apart in 2011 will share in a $2 million lawsuit settlement, attorneys for the families said. On April 4, 2011, Rosario Ferreras, 24, was found dead one day after moving into 446 Baldwin Ave. Investigators determined she died of carbon monoxide poisoning caused by a clogged hot water heater vent. During the probe, it was learned that the previous tenant, Arthur Galloway, 48, died from carbon monoxide poisoning on March 12. It was originally thought he succumbed from ongoing health problems, but tests were conducted after Ferreras? death to prove otherwise. Click link to read more.
