Jersey City will auction off 85 vehicles next month, an action the city says will bring in additional revenue while lowering the size of the city?s automotive fleet.
The auction will begin on Wed., Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at the city Department of Public Works complex, 575 Route 440. City taxpayers do not need to maintain vehicles the city no longer needs, Mayor Steve Fulop said in a statement. Vehicles set to be auctioned off include heavy trucks, buses and police cars. They will be sold ?as is.?
