Police are searching for the owners of two loaded guns that were recovered on Gardner Avenue in Jersey City early Saturday morning, reports state. Police responded to the area of 65 Gardner Ave. around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday on a report of a loaded gun in the area, reports state. Police canvassed the area and recovered a Hi-Point model 995 9 mm rifle with a defaced serial number sticking out of a bush, reports state. Police removed a loaded clip containing 10 rounds from the rifle and cleared the chamber, reports state. Police continued to search the area, believing another gun was in the immediate area, reports state. Further up the street, police recovered a .380-caliber Colt automatic handgun with a pearl-colored pistol grip on the rear passenger tire of a Toyota, reports state. The handgun was found with a defaced serial number and five rounds in the gun's magazine, reports state. Police were not able to locate the guns' owner, reports state.
