Jersey City man charged with robbing man of $800 at gunpoint By Daniel Reyes/The Jersey Journal The Jersey Journal on March 19, 2013 at 4:00 PM, updated March 19, 2013 at 4:03 PM A Jersey City man has been charged with robbing another man of more than $800 at gunpoint. Almin Thomas, 31, is accused of on March 2 in Jersey City, running up behind the victim and pointing a black handgun at him while attempting to take items from the victim, according to the complaint. Thomas took $817 cash from the victim before fleeing, but was identified by the victim after the incident, and a warrant was issued for Thomas? arrest. He made his first appearance in court on the charges today, appearing in Central Judicial Processing in Jersey City via video link from Hudson County Jail in Kearny.
