Jersey City resident slashed with box cutter during assault on Ocean Avenue

JERSEY CITY ? A Jersey City resident was taken to Jersey City Medical Center after he was slashed by a box cutter late last night.

Police said the man was walking in the area of Oak Street and Ocean Avenue around 11:45 p.m. last night when he was jumped by three or four men. During the attack, the victim said one of the assailants slashed him above his left eye with a box cutter and fled the scene, reports state.
