I was there today and saw those big red carts. I think they added them to their motor pool because too many customers complained that the old ones made their asses look big. Just guessing based on the lady having an orgasm in front of the 2 for $5.00 Keebler cookie sale. Her buttocks were demurely hidden behind the ATV grocery cart she was wielding. Those cheeks would have been hanging over both sides of a regular cart.
On a positive note, I like that Shoprite doesn't hassle customers about using their carryhome bag as a basket in the store. Some stores do because of loss prevention concerns. It helps not to buy more than I can carry home.

Best post I've seen in a while. Just the right blend of satire and blatant sarcasm.

File under First World Problems:

They decided to replace their regular-sized shopping carts with gigantic ones. At first I thought they were for BJs but, no, they are for Shoprite. They are seriously as big as the ones you see at shopping clubs and Home Depot. They are difficult to maneuver and clog up the aisles. They barely fit in the cash register aisles.

The only, and I mean, ONLY reason I shop at Shoprite is because sometimes they have amazing sales and I find my dollar goes further there than at A&P.

But as dumb as it sounds, this is the final straw for me. I go there knowing full well that the parking lot sucks and the store is like a zoo at peak hours. But when management decides to go out of their way to make shopping there even worse, I call it quits.
