A 26-year-old Jersey City man was arrested in possession of five vials of cocaine after he fled from cops during a search early this morning, police reports said.

Hydeem D. Ramsey, 26, of Orient Avenue, was arrested and charged with cocaine possession, obstruction of a governmental function and resisting arrest, reports said.

Police were on patrol at 3:10 a.m. this morning and noticed Ramsey with another man standing at the corner of Ocean and Bayview avenue, an area known for drugs and other street crime, reports said.

Police began watching Ramsey after they saw him reach down the back of his sweat pants as if to retrieve something, reports said. Soon after they saw him do the same thing at the intersection of the next block at Bidwell and Ocean avenues, reports said.

Police searched Ramsey and felt packaging consistent with drugs in the area of his buttocks, at which point Ramsey fled on foot, reports said.
