West New York shot in leg outside Jersey City McDonald's, cops say

A West New York man was nearly run over and then shot in the leg in the aftermath of a fight at the Heights Plaza on Summit Avenue in the Jersey City Heights yesterday, officials said.

The 20-year-old victim said he was in McDonald's at 9:33 p.m. when a fight broke in the parking lot and those involved then tried to run him over in a gray Honda as he exited the restaurant, a report says.
